New Nahm Thai – Nunam – That Makes Sense!

It was a particularly busy Sunday morning on Beaufort Street being Father’s day and the inaugural Beaufort Street Art Market, which was in full swing. Plenty of the market’s goers were taking full advantage of the street’s many cafes and eateries so Jen and her mates decided to head a little further a field and landed at Nunam on Bulwer Street. Recently opening its doors for breakfast they decided to give this long standing fine dining Thai restaurant a try for some early morning fodder!

The restaurant has had a makeover and is looking fantastic, with lots of bright and bold colours, polished concrete floors, reclaimed and recovered bus chairs and stunning feature lights!

They didn’t have a booking and the place was looking pretty full, the Maître d asked them to wait a couple of minutes and soon enough they were escorted to their table for 5. Coffee orders were taken and then food menu was given to them to look over. The breakfast menu consisted of some traditional breakfast options including eggs, bacon, asparagus and hollandaise sauce and also some more interesting and exotic options like caramelised deep fried eggs with scallops and rice congee with 63 degree eggs. Decisions were made, food orders were taken and they waited patiently for their grub to arrive. Once it did, Jen says “We were not disappointed! The coffee was some of the best we’d had in a while and the food was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. It was an enjoyable breakfast dining experience with plenty of options to keep you going back! Well done Nunam, your expansion into breakfast was a treat!”
