The Beaufort Street Festival Fashion Fundraiser High Tea

It was a balmy 37 degrees as we made our way to the Mount Lawley croquet club near Forrest Park on Sunday. High tea and croquet were the order for the afternoon! Greeted with champagne upon our arrival we soon relaxed into the swing of things under the shade of the front veranda.  Pretty frocks and boater hats adorned the lovely ladies on the lawn as they braved the sun to participate in the fun and games.

A variety of sweet and savoury treats to indulge in beckoned us inside to the cool of the club room. Tables were decorated beautifully with elegant tea sets and tiered cake stands, style and sophistication were certainly both high priorities of the day. Laughter and chatter accompanied the delightful cucumber sandwiches, freshly brewed tea and scones with jam and cream!

The afternoon was topped off with a fabulous fashion show, showcasing some of Perth’s finest creations for the summer season ahead.  Royal blue, deep purple, canary yellow and bright orange were just some of the vibrant colours used in these wonderful gowns that enrobed the stunning models as they sauntered around the room.

A truly wonderful afternoon was had and huge congratulations to the Festival Fashion Director Kelly Price and her team for such fantastic organisation and an enjoyable event! It’s really got us in the spirit for this weekend’s festival, we just can’t wait!
